Stamford Convicted Felon Charged With Having Assault-Style Guns
A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly having several guns, including an assault rifle and semi-automatic pistol.
Anthony Hicks, age 42, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 18 following an investigation by the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime unit.
According to Assistant Chief Rich Conklin, during the investigation, agents learned that Hicks, who is a convicted felon, was storing multiple firearms, including a Draco-stye assault rifle in his apartment.

A Stamford Police officer who struck and killed a beloved pastor in his patrol SUV has been placed on administrative leave while the crash is under investigation.
The Rev. Tommie Jackson was hit around 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, in Stamford on Wire Mill Road by a Stamford Police SUV driven by Officer Zachary Lockwood, age 24.
Lockwood, of Stamford, has been an officer with the department since April of last year, said Stamford Police Chief Timothy Shaw.

A victim lived through a day of fear and assaults at the hands of a Connecticut man the person knew, according to authorities.
On Wednesday, July 5, Norwalk Police received a complaint that New Haven County resident Enrique Rivas-Castillo, age 23, of Ansonia, had threatened the victim over the phone, said Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police.
Investigating officers learned that on Monday, July 3, Rivas-Castillo was at the victim’s residence in Norwalk and threatened to assault the victim.

A Fairfield County man has been busted with alleged child pornography following a lengthy investigation.
David Boehm, age 73, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, June 8, when the Stamford Police Department executed a search warrant at his home on Pine Hill Terrace, said Captain Tom Barcello of the Stamford Police.
Barcello said the search stemmed from a lengthy multi-jurisdictional case, which included the Stamford Police, Homeland Security, and the Westport Police Department.

New Update: Missing Stamford Man ID'd As Body Found In Westport Pond
Police in Westport have released the identity of a body found floating in a retention pond.
According to Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods, the body found early Monday, April 3, has been identified as that of Errol Whyte, age 62, of Stamford.
Whyte has been missing since Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, and was the subject of a missing person investigation by the Stamford Police Department, he said.
On Friday, Dec. 30, Whyte's 2002 Ford Explorer was found unoccupied on I-95 southbound between Exits 18 and 17 near the Saugatuck Bridge, Stamford Police said at the time.

Man Who Robbed, Murdered Beloved Stamford Jeweler Sentenced
The man who shot and killed a beloved Fairfield County jeweler during a robbery has been sentenced to prison.
