Duo Nabbed In Jewelry Store Burglary Spree That Hit Beacon Business
Two suspects are behind bars in connection with a string of jewelry store burglaries that targeted businesses in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. In Dutchess County, police were called at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, for a burglary in progress in Beacon at Sky Diamond Jewelers on Main Street. As officers arrived, the suspects were seen driving away from the scene. Officers initially pursued the vehicle onto the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge but called off the chase “due to the unsafe speeds,” Beacon Police said. 14-Year-Old Bicyclist Critical After Being Struck By Car In Southampton: State Police
A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck on his bicycle in South Jersey on Friday, June 14, authorities said. The boy was struck by a Dodge around 6:35 p.m. on Route 38 at milepost 19.1 in Southampton, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron. The boy was rushed to an area hospital and no other injuries were reported.
