Two lucky people (or, possibly, one extremely lucky person) can now afford as many gifts as they want this holiday season after two nearby Long Island stores both sold winning lottery tickets, lottery officials announced.
One third-prize Powerball ticket and one top-prize Take 5 ticket, both from the Wednesday, Nov. 8 drawings, were each sold at Farmingdale stores, according to the New York Lottery.
The Take 5 ticket, worth $35,596.50, was sold at One Stop Cards & Convenience, located at 296 Main Street.

Lottery officials announced that on Tuesday, April 25, the top-prize Take 5 ticket was sold at the King’s Motor Super Pumper in Hauppauge, located at 1340 Motor Parkway.

In Westchester, New York Lottery officials announced that a jackpot-winning Take-5 ticket worth $41,205 was purchased at the Crestwood Convenience Store on Crisfield Street in Yonkers.
