Arlington Photographer Who Divulged Silver Lining Of Cancer Diagnosis Dies, 41
Rachel Hegarty, an Arlington photographer, has died after battling cancer for more than a year.
Hegarty, 41, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024 surrounded by her family, according to her obituary on the Murphy Funeral Homes website.

Mike McNamara, Popular Jersey City Photographer, Dad Dies
Mike McNamara, an institution in the Jersey City arts community, died on Friday, Feb. 16, due to a complication after surgery, according to a fundraiser set up to support his family.
A photographer, McNamara dedicated his time to the Brunswick Community Garden in Jersey City.
"He was an amazing photographer, a great organizer of so many events that brought us all together, a father, a husband, and much more," Beth Achenbach, a Jersey City artist said on Facebook.

A popular DC-based photographer who went missing out of Maryland is believed dead, and his suspected Pennsylvania killer is in custody, authorities said.
Joe Shymanski, 51, of Huntingtown, MD, was reported missing on Labor Day, prompting a massive manhunt and search, the Calvert County Sheriff's Office said.
Brandon Holbrook, 47, of Reedsville, PA, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder and first-degree assault, the sheriff's office said on Wednesday, Sept. 6. He was being held in Pennsylvania pending his extradition back to Maryland.

A lifelong Hudson Valley resident, who worked as a freelance photographer and a carpenter, has died unexpectedly at age 27.
Putnam County resident Ryan Daly, of Mahopac, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, according to his obituary.
Daly was born in North Tarrytown, and he was a graduate of Mahopac High School with the class of 2012, his obituary said.
He went on to earn a bachelor's degree at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Brothers Killed In Branford Crash Remembered As Inseparable Friends
Two brothers who died last month in a Connecticut crash are being remembered by loved ones as inseparable friends.
The single-vehicle crash happened in New Haven County at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, on Hosley Avenue in Branford, police reported.
All three occupants of the vehicle died in the crash.
The driver was identified as 17-year-old Megan Nicole Povilaitis, of East Haven, and the two passengers were identified as Anthony Dudchik, age 19, of East Haddam, and Robert Dudchik, age 22, of East Haven.

Jersey Shore native and beloved photographer Walter Kelly McCaffrey, Jr. died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 5. He was 36.
Walter grew up in Barnegat and graduated from South Regional High School, his obituary and social media pages say.
