Scholarship funds and tributes are pouring in on behalf of a passionate North Jersey music teacher and mother following her tragic passing at age 38.
Meredith Sullivan Boyan, of New Vernon, died Thursday, August 10, leaving a legacy of “strength and courage,” her obituary says.
Born in New Brunswick, Meredith was raised in Somerville and attended Somerville High School, where she participated in jazz, concert, and marching bands, as well as theater, and chorus before graduating in 2003.

Lawrence Holdridge, of Amityville, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the age of 83 following a brief illness, according to his obituary.

Maura Molloy’s life was defined by music.
Now, the Westchester County educator and musician’s loved ones must rely on the many video recordings of her performances if they hope to again experience her bright, angelic singing voice.
Molloy, of Rye, died at home Monday, Aug. 1, at the age of 62 following a “long and courageous battle with lung cancer,” according to her obituary.

The Enfield community is gathering Sunday, Aug. 9, to hold a candlelight vigil for a local Teacher of the Year who died earlier this week in a motorcycle crash.
Megan Arsenault, 37, is being mourned by the many people in the Enfield community whose lives she touched.
“Meg Arsenault was an absolute cornerstone of our CLHS family and was taken way too soon,” said Jeff Larson, the high school’s principal.
