Casting Call: Youngsters Needed For Netflix Movie Filming In Tristate Area
Netflix is looking for two young boys to star in their next feature film, which is shooting right here in the tristate area, according to a casting notice at Backstage.
The first role is for Mookie, an 11-year-old. Mookie is described as being white, very overweight and on a strict diet who gets bullied, according to the casting notice.
"Privately his sense of humor can make you laugh, but his vulnerability will make you cry," the notice reads.
Mookie is not athletic, but loves sports, and being a fan of baseball is a "plus," according to the notice.

Actors are being sought for a true crime recreation show being filmed in the DMV area.
Produced by Wide Net Productions, the show shoots one or two days, likely July 11 to 13 across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. The gig pays $250 a day.

Extras Casting Call Made For Movie Filming In Kingston
Casting is currently underway for paid extras and two child actor parts for an upcoming film that takes place in 1939.
"Lost On A Moutain In Maine," based on the true account of a boy's harrowing journey through the vast wilderness of the Katahdin Mountains, will be filming in Ulster County in Kingston throughout July, said the Hudson Valley Film Commission who is working on the film.
