Tamia Monique Maxwell, 24, of Dumfries — the alleged prostitute — and Danielle Letitia Grant, 35, of Woodbridge, were in a Quality Inn room with the 32-year-old victim and a friend when the four began arguing around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, Prince William County police said.

Maxwell struck the victim and stole his property before a man who knew Maxwell and Grant showed and demanded more money from the victim and his acquaintance, police said.

The suspects left the room with an undisclosed amount of money and the victims' cell phones, authorities said.

While investigating the incident, officers found both women nearby and detained them without incident, while the male assailant remains at large. No injuries were reported.

Maxwell was charged with prostitution and robbery while Grant was charged with robbery.
