Video Shows Baseball Bat Attacker Chasing Woman Through Fairfax Yards: Report (Video)

A 49-year-old man who police say attacked congressional workers with a metal baseball bat in Fairfax County was allegedly captured chasing a neighbor around with the same weapon hours earlier, according to recent news reports.

Xuan-Kha Tran Pham was charged with one count of Aggravated Malicious Wounding and one count of Malicious Wounding, after the attack at Congressman Gerry Connolly's Main Street office in Fairfax on Monday, May 15, the US Capitol police said.

FOX DC ran footage of a man chasing a woman with a bat through residential yards, and says neighbors identified him as Pham.

According to the Washington Post, Pham approached the woman near Maylock Lane and Point Pleasant Drive, asked if she was White and chased her until she hid inside of her car.

He was apparently charged with hate-crime-related assault and felony destruction of property for the residential chase.

The congressional employees attacked by Pham were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Connolly, who was not in the office at the time, released the following statement:
