One Dead In Fiery Crash On I-495 One person died in a fiery crash overnight on Interstate 495 in Fairfax County. The vehicle was heading west toward I-395 northbound when it ran off the highway near Exit 170B, went over the side cement barrier and landed on railroad tracks below in Springfield around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, Virginia State Police said. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to immediately catch fire.  The victim's identity was not released and the accident remains under investigation.

It's unclear why, but Abdellah Bougrine, 54, of Alexandria, and Driss Bougrine, 59, stopped their Toyota Corolla in the center westbound lane of Interstate 495 around 11 p.m. near Telegraph Road and got out.  Moments later, a Ford Ranger slammed into the two men and their car, Virginia State police said in a news release.
