Eat This, Not That has compiled a list of the best most expensive restaurant in every state to make sure that the Beef Wellington and lobster ravioli really are worth every penny spent.

In Virginia, that restaurant is The Inn at Little Washington, in Washington.

The Inn is run by head chef Patrick O'Connell, a Washington DC native and self-taught cook known as "the Pope of American cuisine." He opened the place in 1978, and has hosted celebrities, politicians and more, according to the website.

O'Connell in 2019, won the Lifetime Achievement award from the James Beard Foundation, and the National Humanities Medal from the President of the United States that same year, his restaurant's website says.

Eat This, Not That describes The Inn as a "whimsical" hotel and restaurant that's been awarded three Michelin stars and a Green Star sustainability. The produce you'll see on the menu is grown on the website's very own farm.

"Diners choose from a standard or vegetarian tasting menu for $265 per person, with the option of adding on the award-winning wine pairings for $208 per person," Eat This Not That" says.
