Popular Marine Corps Park Reopens After Explosives Deemed It Dormant For Decade Marine Corps Base Quantico's Lunga Park has been dormant for a decade, but later this month, the Triangle park will reopen to the public with a grand celebration. The original recreation area, formerly known as Lunga Recreation Area, is located on the west side of Marine Corps Base Quantico, and will reopen Friday, May 26.
