A man wanted for a homicide in Caroline County was arrested by Fredericksburg Police during a tactical raid on Wednesday, Nov. 27, authorities say. Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment complex after receiving a tip about the location of 35-year-old Jamale Antonio Moore, who was also wanted for contempt of court in Fredericksburg, police said. He was wanted in Carline County in connection to a Nov. 18 murder. Firearms and a bevy of drugs were seized from men from Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg, authorities said. Fredericksburg officer Murphy was patrolling the area near the storefronts at Central Park Townhomes around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, when groups of people started dispersing quickly. Murphy saw several of them get into a car with an equipment violation, so he conducted a traffic stop on Fall Hill Avenue. Arsonist Lit T-Shirt On Fire, Shoved It Through VA Neighbor's Mail Slot: Police
A Fredericksburg woman has found herself behind bars after lighting a t-shirt on fire and shoving it through her neighbor's front door mail slot, police said. The homeowner on the 1200 block of Caroline Street smelled smoke and found the fiery t-shirt around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, Fredericksburg police said. Police are asking the community to help them locate a man wanted for crimes, officials said. David Hunt is wanted for numerous counts of burglary, larceny, and trespassing, according to Fredericksburg Police. Hunt was described as someone who hangs out in hotels and motels along Route 1 in Spotsylvania, as well as the Charlestown Commons neighborhood off of Town and Country Dr. in Stafford, officials said. The Fredericksburg senior who went missing in the evening on Wednesday July 14 has been located and is safe, police said. A senior alert was issued for 83-year-old John Vincent after he went missing sometime after 5 p.m. July 13, Fredericksburg Police said. Vincent has been located and is safe, officials reported.

One person has died in an overnight motorcycle crash in Stafford County, authorities said. Police responded to the incident in the 1300 block of Lafayette Boulevard around 1 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, according to Fredericksburg Police.
