A Virginia man who inappropriately touched a child over the course of more than a year has been arrested for alleged sexual assault, authorities announced. Sterling resident James Eugene Edwards, 58, was arrested over the weekend following a lengthy investigation into alleged sexual abuse that was reported in Manassas between January 2023 and February 2024. A 33-year-old man is in custody after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he recently met in Prince William County, police say. One teen was killed and a second injured following a double shooting in Fairfax County on Saturday morning. Shortly after midnight on June 29, officers were called to the 4100 block of Wadsworth Court in Annandale, where there was a reported shooting in the area. Upon arrival, police say that officers found two teens suffering from gunshot wounds. The 16-year-old was struck in the lower body, and the 14-year-old was hit in the upper body.
