Gunfire rang out on the campus of Stone Hill Middle School in Ashburn, prompting an active investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), officials said on Tuesday. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, according to an LCSO spokesperson. A violent home invasion in Frederick County early Sunday morning led to multiple arrests, gunfire, and a high-speed chase spanning three counties and Washington, DC, authorities said. A member of the Arlington Police Department and a larceny suspect were both taken to an area hospital for evaluation after a potentially scary scene played out on Wednesday afternoon.
