Connie Biehler Gibbs, a 56-year-old Stafford woman, was caught driving drunk, then apologies and admitted it 14 times, the county sheriff's office said.

Another motorist called police saying a red Chevrolet Tahoe was driving slower than the speed limit and swerving on Garrisonville Road around 8:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, authorities said.

Nearly twenty minutes later, Deputy Steffenhagen found the SUV in the Ann’s Mobile Home Park area with the driver exiting the vehicle.

Gibbs stumbled out and, after making contact with Deputy Steffenhagen, said, “I’m sorry, I’m drunk," the sheriff's office said.

She was indeed correct, and made sure Deputy Steffenhagen knew that, for she would state it thirteen more times, police said.

Gibbs said she drank three bottles of whiskey. Within the vehicle another bottle of whiskey was located. It was also discovered the driver had a revoked license due to a previous DUI conviction in 2021.

Gibbs was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2, driving with a revoked license, drinking while driving, and the traffic lane violation.

She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.
