An investigation has been launched after a person may have died after touching the third rail outside a Metro station in Washington, DC. Metro Transit Police said that officers and DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to the Judiciary Square Metro Station early on Monday, April 3, to investigate an unauthorized person on the tracks that potentially made contact with the third rail. MTA Bus Driver Killer Sentenced Without Parole
A 25-year-old man who pleaded guilty to the 2020 murder of MTA bus driver Marcus Parks Sr., was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole Thursday, May 5, announced officials. Cameron Silcott got into an argument with the bus driver after Parks told him passengers were not allowed on the bus. Silcott stole Parks's bag, CBS13 reports. When the driver tried to get it back, Silcott shot him 10 times on the bus 1200 block of East Fayette Street on October 8, 2020, according to authorities and the outlet.
