A Northern Virginia dog breeder was found guilty of 60 counts of animal cruelty following a years-long investigation, authorities announced. The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Irina Barrett's home in January 2020, after learning about the gross neglect of an eight-month-old doberman puppy, Attorney General Jason Miyares said. A popular llama who has been a staple at a Maryland farm for years had to be put down after being severely beaten during an unexplained attack, according to a report from WBAL. “Skippy” suffered three broken legs and multiple compound fractures, the report states, with two completely shattered, prompting the llama’s owner to euthanize him at the age of 22 following the alleged attack. Nearly two dozen members of the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club have been indicted on multiple charges related to a quadruple shooting that took place in Maryland in October 2020.
