On-Duty Firefighter At Crash Struck Dead By Teen Driver In Pennsylvania
A 66-year-old firefighter was struck dead by a car driven by a teenager while on duty in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Dec. 6, authorities say. Kurt Keilhofer was on the scene of a separate crash as a first responder with the Mapleton Fire Department when he was hit by the 19-year-old's vehicle in the area of Hares Valley Road and Dell Lane in Union Township, around 7:30 a.m., according to Pennsylvania state police. Two pedestrians were killed in the DMV area overnight as police investigate a pair of separate fatal crashes in Fairfax and Prince George’s County that happened within hours of each other. An 8-month-old baby and 76-year-old woman from Maryland have been identified as the victims killed in the US Route 222 crash earlier this week, according to Lancaster Online. The cause of death for both baby Kimberly Babila and Bridgette Arrah, 76, of Prince George's, was accidental, the outlet said citing Lancaster County Coroner Stephen Diamantoni. An off-duty Metropolitan Police officer was critically injured after being struck by a car in a Maryland parking lot, officials said. At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, a driver struck the officer in the 10500 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway in Bowie, according to a spokesperson from the Prince George’s County Police Department. Newport News Police ID Victim In Early Morning Five-Vehicle Crash
On Tuesday, August 30, Newport News police identified the victim who died in a recent five-vehicle crash, officials said. Two days prior, just after midnight, Jefferson Avenue was shut down in both directions after multiple cars were involved in a crash near Habersham Driver, according to the Newport News Police Department. A 26-year-old man was taken to a hospital for life threatening injuries and a juvenile was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening, authorities reported. Virginia Man In Critical Condition After Bicyclist, SUV Crash In Fairfax County: Police
A Virginia man is in critical condition following a crash involving two bicyclists and an SUV in Fairfax County, authorities said. Police responded to the crash at Belle Haven Road & Fort Hunt Road in Belle Haven around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, Fairfax County Police said on Twitter. Upon arrival, one bicyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene, police said. The accident closed Belle Haven Road as a result.
