Four men have been indicted in connection with an organized retail crime ring responsible for 37 thefts across six Maryland counties, causing approximately $800,000 in losses, authorities announced Monday.
The suspects are accused of overwhelming stores with “flash mob” tactics, targeting high-end retail items, and reselling stolen goods.
Attorney General Anthony Brown revealed details about the operation, which spanned Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Queen Anne’s, and Prince George’s counties.

Man Wanted For Sexual Assaults In Maryland, DC Charged After Nine Years: DOJ
A man with a checkered criminal past has been charged with sexual assault in Washington, DC and Maryland, federal authorities announced.
District resident Dawayne Joseph Spriggs, 37, who also calls Prince George's County home in Maryland, was arraigned on a 2014 cold case involving a sexual assault involving a stranger at a DC Metro station in 2014.
According to court documents, on July 6, 2014, Spriggs approached a stranger near the Minnesota Avenue Metro station at approximately 1 a.m., following her before physically and sexually assaulting her in an alley.

Missing VA Teens' Car Found In MD
A search has been launched for a pair of Virginia teens missing since Monday, July 17.
Hannah Posey, of Manassas, and Jacob Sookdeo, of Alexandria, both 15, are believed to be together, police in Manassas Park said.
The vehicle they were traveling in was found in Anne Arundel County, MD on Friday, July 21. Hannah is wearing a ring, and bracelets, and carrying a teal/gray backpack. She has a scar on the top of her nose between her eyes.
Police believe the two may be in Maryland or Pennsylvania.

Felonious Fugitive With Warrants Out For Arrest In MD Found In Fredericksburg, Sheriff Says
A fugitive with multiple felony charges out of Anne Arundel County has been found and taken into custody, police say.
Melvin Anibal Duran Flores, 35, of Fredericksburg, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 9:25 a.m., according to the Stafford County Sheriff's office.
Flores had multiple felony charges including three counts of kidnapping, four counts of assault, two counts of false imprisonment and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Detective J.G. Wright III and the U.S. Marshals Service worked together in order to take him into custody.
