Iconic Ride At Rye Playland To Celebrate 95th Anniversary
A popular Westchester amusement park is planning on celebrating the 95th anniversary of its iconic roller coaster with two weekends of fun activities and events. The Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland, which opened in 1929, will celebrate its birthday weekend on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, the park announced. Designed by Frederick A. Church, the wooden ride measures 80 feet high and has around 3,400 feet of track.
