Sinkhole Opens Up, Closing Roads In Central Pennsylvania A sinkhole has opened up closing a major roadway in Lititz, authorities say.  The Lititz Borough Public Works is repairing the sinkhole which was discovered on Wednesday, Dec. 7 around 7:00 a.m., according to a release by the area police. The hole is on Raspberry Lane near the intersection of East Orange Street.  Raspberry Lane has been closed from East Orange Street to Lock-up Lane.  "Please use caution when traveling in the area due to crews working in or near roadways," the police say.  There is no word on how long the closure will remain in effect. Sinkhole Opens Up In York County Traffic is being redirected after a sinkhole opened up in York County on Wednesday night  The sinkhole opened up in the area of South 3rd and Chestnut streets in Wrightsville Borough around 7 p.m. Although this sinkhole is Wrightsville elementary School, the school hours have not changed for Thursday. The hole is approximately 15 by 30 inches, according to local officials. Repair is already underway and the road is expected to reopen by Thursday night. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
