Those arrested include Derren Williams, who was on house arrest and wearing an ankle monitor, his girlfriend Kristen Flaherty and Victor Cruz were each arrested on several narcotics and weapons offenses, District Attorney Dave Sunday said.
An investigation into Williams was launched following the discovery that he had firearms at his house on the 100 block of S. Albermarle Street, Sunday said.
Police arranged to buy marijuana from Williams in front of his home and, on one occasion, he sent Flaherty outside to conduct the sale, the DA said.
An April 8 search of Williams' house turned up a 9mm ghost gun with high capacity magazines, a .22 long rifle with a high capacity drum barrel, body armor, $10,740 in cash, a money counter and marijuana, Sunday said.
Ghost guns are unregulated, untraceable firearms that don’t have serial numbers, and therefore illegal to own.
Williams and Flaherty were both home at the time of the search. Williams was charged with with four counts of marijuana distribution and criminal conspiracy while Flaherty was charged with one count of marijuana distribution and criminal conspiracy.
In a completely separate investigation, 44-year-old Cruz was arrested by the York County Drug Task Force early Thursday morning, after a search of his residence at 230 S. Penn St., turned up 200 grams of cocaine, a pound of marijuana and two firearms, Sunday said.
Cruz was subsequently charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and persons not to possess firearms.
The York County Drug Task Force was assisted by the York City Police Department, York County Sheriff’s Office and the York County Quick Response Team.
