The shooting happened at 2:53 p.m. in the 300 block of West Newton Avenue.
Life-saving measures were taken but the victim -- Tyree Smart, of York City -- died at the scene from his injuries, according to police.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday at 8 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.
