Thousands Without Power In York County Due To Fire

More than 1,660 Met-Ed customers were without power after a transformer fire in York County on Wednesday.

The Met-Ed substation on Lombard Road in Windsor Township caught fire in the morning, according to Met-Ed.

Outages have been reported throughout the Dallastown and Red Lion area, according to the company's website.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

No injuries have been reported.

The power should be fully restored by 1 p.m.
