A 68-year-old grandfather has died in a home explosion in Elizabethtown. Harvey L. Winters of 1235 Bossler Road, West Donegal Township was found dead in the rubble of his home following an explosion on Monday, Sept. 18. All nine juveniles that broke out of Abraxas Academy juvenile detention center have been recaptured, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Beohm said on Monday morning. The teens escaped the "secure youth treatment facility" Abraxas Academy located at 1000 Academy Drive, Morgantown, Caernarvon Township, on Sunday, Sept. 17 around 8 p.m., according to area police. A driver who died after back-to-back crashes on Pennsylvania Route 581 has been identified, Cumberland County Coroner Charles Hall told Daily Voice. Alexander O’Donnell-Colella, 28, of Carlisle, died a the scene of the two crashes on Sunday, Sept. 17. A man who previously lost his leg in a chase is wanted after being convicted of fleeing from police, authorities announced on Thursday, Sept. 14. Christopher Beaver, 47, of Enola has a criminal record dating back 29 years and he is on the run again after his most recent conviction. Beaver was convicted of a felony for fleeing and eluding police, among other related charges, on August 30, 2023.
