The owner of a popular Northampton County bike shop is picking up the pieces -- literally -- after a thief shattered the front door with a rock and ran off with thousands in proceeds.

The front door of Curt’s Cyclery on Bath Pike in Nazareth was shattered with a rock and the shop burglarized around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a post on its Facebook page.

The front door of Curt’s Cyclery on Bath Pike in Nazareth was shattered with a rock and the shop burglarized around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a post on its Facebook page.

The thief escaped with about $2,000 in cash as well as several high-end bikes and accessories, including a 2021 Trance X29 2 and an LIV Langma Advanced 2, according to the post, which is accompanied by several photos of the damages.

“No key? No problem,” reads the caption of a photo of the shattered front door.

“At least they left me some pennies,” captioned a pic of the near-empty cash register.

“Not how I planned the day to go,” the post said. “Please join me in praying for the person that did this.”
