One Harrisburg man is willing to chain himself in his yard if Verizon tries putting a 5G Tower in front of his home, according to a recent report by PennLive.

Construction began on a 5G Tower at the historic King mansion located in the 2900 block of North Front Street earlier this month.

Homeowner, Marc Kurowski, was shocked when he looked out of his window one morning to discover the construction crew outside of the historic mansion, as he told theBurg.

This is the second time Verizon has started to erect a G5 pole in front of a building he owns.

He is also the owner of a recently renovated home in the 1400 block of North Front Street.

A street lamp was replaced with the 5G Pole.

“It’s starting to feel a little personal,” he told theBurg. “It was a complete surprise.”

Kurowski believes the poles are an eyesore, lower property values and are detrimental to the beauty of historic Harrisburg.

Verizon is not scheduled to install a pole at the King Mansion until 2022 and work on the property has, at least temporarily, been halted.

Several other historic properties in Harrisburg have been selected as some of the sites for the more than 100 G5 poles being installed in the area.
