The cockatiel was found in the rain at Christ United Methodist Church in Lancaster and was reunited thanks in part to the Andy Griffith Show, the Organization for Responsible Care of Animals said in a statement on social media.

Jasen Arriaga had lost his pet bird “Lucky” almost two years ago after he flew out a window, but within an hour of ORCA posting a photo of the found bird, he had contacted the organization.

He told them his name is Lucky, and he loves to dance to the Andy Griffith theme song.

When Arriaga came to the Lancaster-based organization to see the animal, “he slowly started talking to him and the bird seemed curious," reads ORCA's social media post. "Almost as if he heard a familiar voice."

"Jasen then started whistling the Andy Griffith theme song. And just like they said, he started dancing."

The Ephrata family was thrilled to see their old pet, and the family “is spoiling and loving him extra right now,” ORCA said in the statement. “There were happy tears all around.”
