Authorities ID Man Killed In Allentown Shooting

Authorities have identified the man shot and killed in Allentown Tuesday as a 28-year-old resident.

Officers responding to North 6th Street and Allen Street around 4:40 p.m. found Travis T. Ponce Debach suffering from a gunshot wound, local police said.

Debach was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 5:06 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said Wednesday.

An autopsy was determined the cause of death was gunshot wounds to the body and the manner of death was homicide. 

No one has been charged. The investigation is active and ongoing.

The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Homicide Task Force and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office is assisting the Allentown Police Department in the investigation.

The Allentown Police Department is asking anyone with information to call Detectives at 610-437-7721 or the Police Desk at 610-437-7753 (ext. 1).
