Tristan Hanshaw "voluntarily surrendered" to police in Upper Allen Township, according to a release by the department on Friday, June 2, 2023.
A woman told the police that she was sexually assaulted by Hanshaw on several occasions over the past few years, and an investigation was launched in Feb. 2023, as explained in the release.
"As a result of the investigation, Hanshaw was charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault," the police said.
Those charges were aggravated indecent assault without consent and aggravated indecent assault without consent- unconscious or unaware that penetration is occurring, with the date of the assault stated as Nov. 24, 2022, on his court docket.
Hanshaw was most recently residing in Mechanicsburg, police said. Although he is known for his Boiling Springs high school wrestling career, which The Sentinel reported on back in 2016.
He was released on May 30, 2023, after submitting an unsecured bond signature for $40,000 which was set by Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin that morning, according to his docket.
He will be back before the judge for a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. on June 13, 2023, as detailed in his docket.
