A 24-year-old man high on marijuana and fentanyl caused a head-on crash killing a mom and injuring her child on Christmas Day, Manheim Township police announced on Friday, April 5. Steven Joel Berrios Maldonado was driving 27-year-old Karina Cruz-Camuy and her sons in a Gray Volkswagon Jetta while high on drugs, the police explained citing a blood test he took at the hospital. A minor is injured after gunfire rang out near a Lancaster Township apartment complex on Monday evening, Oct. 30, according to authorities. Manheim police rushed to the 800 block of Sterling Place for multiple reports of a shooting in progress around 5:30 p.m., the department said.
