PA School Staff Sends Nudes To Students Using Snapchat, Police Say

An Elizabethtown middle school paraprofessional working as an in-school suspension monitor allegedly used Snapchat to send an unknown number of students nude images and— started having sexual contact with a 15-year-old, police announced on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Megan Carlisle, 37, of Elizabethtown, sent the photos and images to numerous middle school students, Northwest Regional Police said. 

She is also accused of having sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy who was a student in the classroom of the employee.

"Carlisle had touched and caressed his genital area during several school periods while he was in the ISS classroom," as stated in the release by police. 

The boy responded to her Snapchat nudes and send her nude of himself and a 16-year-old friend, according to the police. 

On April 28, 2023, she also allegedly met the boy in her vehicle and "engaged in sexual contact," the police said. 

The police have searched Carlisle's car, home, and cellphone. 

She was arrested on Thursday and has been charged with the following according to the police:

  • Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
  • Institutional sexual assault.
  • Unlawful contact with a minor.
  • Statutory sexual assault.

She remains in the Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $200,000 in bail, according to her court docket. 

Her preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Randall L. Miller at 9 a.m. on June 9, as detailed in her docket. 

The investigation is ongoing as police try to identify other victims.
