Hershey Native Cara Wolfe Dies Suddenly On Christmas
Cara Wolfe of Fredericksburg died suddenly on Monday, Dec. 25. Cara, who was 46 years old, had been battling a bacterial infection, according to her obituary on the Covenant Funeral Home website. Born in Hershey, PA, Cara went on to earn a degree in computer information systems from Strayer University and had recently been working as a pharmacy tech at CVS, her obit says. Ricardo "Kiko" or "Ricky" Ralat Jr. "passed unexpectedly on Christmas morning from cancer," his wife's coworker Elijah Pokrop wrote on a GoFundMe campaign he launched to give Kiko a "proper burial in such unexpected times." A 35-year-old adjunct professor, college staff member, and Ph.D. student has been identified as the victim of a fatal tractor-trailer crash on Friday, according to the Adams County Coroner's office. Sara Gifford most recently of Dillsburg, died at the scene of the crash in the northbound lanes of Route 15 at the intersection with Bonners Hill Road in Latimore Township, authorities confirmed to Daily Voice. A 27-year-old mom has died following a three-vehicle crash on Christmas Day, the Lancaster County Coroner's office announced the following afternoon. Karina Cruz-Camuy died at 3:20 p.m. at the scene of the crash on Wabank Road near Rabbit Hill Lane in Lancaster Township, Deputy Chief Coroner Eric Bieber detailed in the release. A 15-months and 14-days-old boy has been identified after being struck by a Norfolk Southen Train on Thursday. Landis Sensenig Newswanger was hit by a Norfolk Southern train running along the tracks in his backyard in the 400 block of West Main Street, South Newton Township, Cumberland County at 10:04 a.m. on Dec. 7, according to state police and later identified in his obituary.
