Child Hospitalized After Being Shot In PA Park

A child has been hospitalized after they were shot with walking in a park on Thursday morning, according to a release by Harrisburg police

The child had been walking along the Riverfront Park Trail in the 500 block of South Front Street in Harrisburg, when "they heard a shot and realized that they had been hit," police say.

Police learned of the shooting when the child arrived at the hospital around 8:45 a.m.

The child's age has not been released, but police believe they will not succumb to their injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
