Amtrak Train Strikes Pedestrian Dead In Central PA: Dispatch

One person has died after they were hit by a train in central Pennsylvania, according to emergency dispatchers.

Emergency crews were called to a crash involving an Amtrak main line train near Dillerville Road in Lancaster around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, a Lancaster County Wide Communications supervisor says.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the crash, according to LCWC.

No train derailment was reported.

Police continue to investigate this crash.m
