Michele Lynn Peters, 27, claimed she was assaulted in 800 Block of North Front Street in Wormleysburg on Friday, authorities said.
Investigators discovered she provided false information in her report of the supposed assault.
Peters was arrested on Sunday and resides in Cumberland County Prison pending criminal charges.
Peters previously has served time after being picked up on a warrant for theft and pleading guilty, serving 15 days in prison, the minimum sentence.
