Oxford Borough police were called to a home on the 300 block of South Fifth Street for a burglary in progress just before midnight on Tuesday, May 16, the department wrote in a release.

They arrived to find 21-year-old Nicole M. Parsons of Nottingham standing on the porch, police said.

The homeowner told police he found Parsons in the home when he arrived. When he confronted her, the homeowner said the 21-year-old "lunged at him with a knife."

Police said he was able to shove her away and call 911. Authorities believe she broke in through an unlocked window.

Parsons was arrested at the scene and charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, and aggravated assault, according to the release. She was remanded to the Chester County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail and is due back in court for her preliminary hearing on May 30, court records show.
