Police in Bensalem were patrolling near Route 1 and Interplex Drive around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, when they noticed a Ford Edge with a "motor code violation," the department wrote in a release.

When they pulled the Ford over, officers learned the car was logged in the National Crime Information Computer System as a "felony vehicle [...] used in point-of-gun robbery," according to the department.

Police also found that the driver, 40-year-old Dio Garcia of Philadelphia, had an active arrest warrant from Florida on an alleged probation violation, they said.

Garcia was arrested at the scene, authorities said. Police obtained a search warrant for the Ford and said they found some marijuana along with a .40 caliber Beretta handgun that matched the description of a weapon used in a Philadelphia armed robbery. The weapon had previously been reported stolen out of Delaware, officials noted.

Garcia was charged with persons not to possess a firearm, unlicensed carry, marijuana possession, and related counts, Bensalem police wrote. He was remanded to the Bucks lockup in lieu of 10 percent of a $200,000 bail bond, state court filings show.

Philadelphia police are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant against Garcia for the alleged gunpoint robbery, officials added.
