The man and a female friend walked into the Bath Street Market in Bristol Borough to play the Pennsylvania Skills Lottery Machine around 7 p.m. on Jan. 19, Bristol police said.
The man produced what he claimed was a winning lottery ticket valued at $448, authorities said.
After getting the payment, the couple left the store in a dark-colored Jeep.
An audit conducted by the business owner later determined the ticket was fraudulent.
