Woman Struck, Killed By Philly Driver On Route 42 In South Jersey

A South Jersey woman, 78, was killed on Sunday night after being struck by a car in Gloucester County, NJ Advance Media reports.

A 44-year-old Philadelphia man was driving south on Route 42 when he struck the woman near Ganttown Road around 10:30 p.m. in Washington Township, the outlet said.

The woman died at the scene and her name has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed so far.
