Franklin Ice Cream Bar was named the best ice cream shop in Pennsylvania on Thrillist's newest list.
The shop specializes in hand-dipped chocolate roasted at Shane Confectionery, with a variety of toppings available such as brownie bites and hot caramel, its website says.
"This bespoke parlor does serious things with ice cream, churning its own concoctions that include a stunner of a Honeycomb ice cream, a Cookies, and Cream that ditches Oreos for Hydrox (the original sandwich cookie), and a nod to local favorite teaberry gum," Thrillist writes.
Aside from sourcing ingredients from a local 1920s family dairy, the spot also offers vegan flavors, like Vanilla, Hydrox (aka cookies and cream), Strawberry, and Kona Macadamia Nib, among others, according to its website.
