Police arrived at a home in the 1400 block of Wayne Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. to find 44-year-old Patricia Torres dead with multiple stab wounds, according to a press release by the City of Reading Police Department.
Officers also found Jose Torres, 51 in the home with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Torres was transported to Reading Hospital for medical treatment.
Police did not make it explicitly clear that the two were married, but did say Patricia Torres was stabbed multiple times during a domestic incident with Jose Torres.
Torres is currently in custody and is being charged with first and third-degree murder, and related charges.
Torres is currently awaiting arraignment on those charges.
