Authorities have released the name of the driver killed in a road-rage shooting in Delaware County Wednesday, June 29.

King Hua, 54, was found shot to death behind the wheel of his white Toyota, which was traveling south on State Road in Springfield around 8:45 a.m., Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said.

Hua was with his wife in the car when a female driver passed them on the shoulder, Springfield police said.

That car stopped and a male passenger got out of the car and fired at Hua's vehicle, according to police. The bullets went through the windshield and struck Hua.

The suspect's car then fled the scene, and authorities were still looking for them on Thursday.

Hua was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Springfield police called the shooting an "isolated incident."

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Springfield police Sgt. J. DiTrolio at (610)-544-5507.
