Dylan Myers, of Hanover, lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason and struck a tree on the 300 block of Basehoar Road in Union Township at around 4:55 p.m. on Monday, according to the York County Coroner's Office and a GoFundMe started by a family friend.

Dispatchers initially received reports of a vehicle fire and sent a fire engine to the scene, but upon arrival, it was discovered the car had over-turned— trapping five people inside, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police.

All four passengers were extracted and taken by ambulances to area hospitals, authorities say.

Myers was taken in a helicopter to WellSpan York Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:55 p.m., according to the coroner's office.

He died of multiple blunt force trauma and the manner of death was ruled accidental, according to Deputy Coroner Molly York.

There will be no autopsy on Myers but a routine toxicology will be performed, York stated in the release.

Myers's community has already been sharing on social media about his sudden passing sharing the GoFundMe campaign page created by his family's friend Erica Hicks.

Hicks writes in part:

"As you can imagine as a mother, father, sister, brother … the last thing they need to worry about is how they are going to pay for the expenses that go along with this horrible tragedy. Prayers are appreciated and if you feel led to donate to help with funeral expenses as well with other costs so the family can grieve together without having to worry about working, please do so … any little bit helps . Thank you In advanced."

He is survived by his family, friends, and classmates.

Funeral and memorial service details have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation by State Police in Gettysburg.
