Yet, again a sign in Intercourse has been stolen, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
The sign "Welcome to Intercourse" was taken from Old Philadelphia Pike in Leacock Township, Ronks on September 30, 2022, around 8 p.m., according to the release.
The sign is valued at $500, state police detail in the release.
Signs from intercourse are among the most stolen in the world, according to numerous media outlets including Mental Floss and Roadside America.
Intercourse previously was home to "hard and soft pretzels" but is probably more famous for being the setting of For Richer or Poorer starring Kristie Alley and Tim Allen and being the filming location for the film Witness starring Harrison Ford.
The sign has an unofficial Facebook page that had no one tag it from Aug. 11, 2022, until Jan. 23, 2023, either meaning the sign was replaced sometime in the months since the theft or that Strangelove-The Depeche Mode Experience posted their photo months after visiting the area.
The investigation into the theft is active even if the since was replaced, according to state police.
