More Arrests Made In Massive Fairfax County Car Meet Where Drivers Taunted Cops
Police have announced additional arrests at a massive illegal car meetup where drivers antagonized officers in Fairfax County last weekend. Around 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, an officer saw several vehicles pull into a commercial parking lot in the 6600 block of Electronic Drive in Springfield where a large group of individuals were driving recklessly and in circles, police said. : Maryland Man Allegedly Behind Two Homicides In Prince George's County
A man from Prince George's County has been arrested in connection with a homicide earlier this year, authorities said. Malique Harden, 21, of Suiltand, is charged with the shooting death of 58-year-old Michael Hawkins of Washington DC, Prince George's County Police said. Harden shot and killed Hawkins during a robbery at Hawkins' apartment in the 3800 block of St. Barnabas Road on Feb. 27, police said. Prince George's County Police are offering up to $2,500 to anyone with information about a man believed to be behind multiple recent homicides in the county. Man Serving Life For Murder Confesses To 2 Cold Case Killings Including Prostitute In MD
A man sentenced to life in prison after strangling a single mother has been linked to two cold-case killings including one in Maryland and another in Virginia dating back to 1987, according to police. Charles Helem, 52, is serving life in prison at a supermax state prison for the 2002 murder of Patricia Bentley, a 37-year-old single mother from Chantilly, Virginia.
