Second Murder-Suicide In PA In 12 Hours: DA
A second murder-suicide in less than 12 hours, the Chester County District Attorney's Office announced on Friday, Oct. 25. A father and son were found dead in East Goshen Township around 10:34 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, as detailed in the release. The Westtown East Goshen Regional Police Department and the Chester County Detectives are investigating this murder-suicide that did not involve any firearms, the DA explained. Former Westtown-East Goshen Police Officer, Firefighter Dies At 73
David MacIntyre, a Lancaster resident and former officer with the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, died on Saturday, May 6, his old department announced. He was 73. A graduate of B. Reed Henderson High School in West Chester, MacIntyre spent seven years with the Westtown-East Goshen department, his loved ones wrote in his obituary. Police said MacIntyre was among the first part-time officers to serve the region after the department was formed in 1981. A Westtown-East Goshen police officer will face charges in connection with a February car accident that killed a 75-year-old cyclist, prosecutors say. Officer Jason Listmeier, 24, of Downingtown, is charged with careless driving resulting in an unintentional death, driving on roadways laned for traffic, and overtaking a vehicle on the left, said Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan in a release. Suburban Philly Man Surrenders In Sex Assault Of Child: Police
A 35-year-old man has surrendered to police in the sexual assault of a juvenile over the summer in the Philadelphia suburbs, authorities said. Juan Munoz-Cruz had been wanted in the Aug. 15 incident by the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, they said. An arrest warrant was issued for him, and he eventually turned himself in on. Munoz-Cruz was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and corruption of minors. A Chester County bank robber was captured in Philadelphia with the help of the FBI, authorities said. George William Drake Jr., 27, demanded money from the PNC Bank staff in Westtown on Aug. 27, the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department said. Drake made off with less than $300 in cash. The suburban Philadelphia police community is in mourning following the untimely death of one of their own. Officer Joshua "Josh" Micun died Sunday after contracting a COVID-19 related illness, according to the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department. Police in Chester County are seeking the public's help locating a man who they say went missing last Thursday. Jason Banks was last seen in the West Chester area, and is described as a black male, 6 feet and 2inches tall, and weighs 250 pounds, according to the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department. Banks is known to operate a white 2009 BMW sedan with the Pennsylvania registration name, "KUMO," police said. Chester Construction Worker Surrenders After Collecting $11K For Incomplete Jobs, Police Say
The owner of a Chester County construction company surrendered to police after collecting $11,000 from a resident for work that was never completed, authorities said.
