Philadelphia Woman Sentenced On Gun Charge In South Jersey A 29-year-old woman from Philadelphia was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison for unlawful possession of a handgun, authorities said. Desira Covington will be eligible for parole after one year of the prison sentence, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Covington’s request for a lesser sentence was denied by the sentencing judge. Covington was arrested on July 5, 2022, after a traffic stop on the Atlantic City Expressway. Ex-NJ Child Protection Worker Sentenced To 20+ Years For Making Porn Of Young Boy In His Care A former New Jersey child protection worker was sentenced Tuesday to more than 20 years in federal prison – just about all which he’ll have to serve – for recording pornographic images of an underage boy in his care. Kayan Frazier, 29, of Somers Point, also posed as a woman online to solicit similar images from boys, federal authorities said.
