A criminal organization made $850,000 in illegal profits in a sophisticated theft-return scheme targeting TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Marshalls stores, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office said.
Nine people involved with the Philadelphia-based organization, which has been in operation since 2022, were arrested and charged with numerous felonies, according to a Thursday, Oct. 24 news release from the attorney general.

A raw milk recall has been issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
Meadow View Jerseys brand milk bought between Aug. 5-12 with a sell-by date of Aug. 19 should be thrown away immediately, according to the PA Dept. of Agriculture.
It was sold in plastic gallon, quart, pint, and plastic and glass half-gallon jugs.
Routine pathogen testing showed the milk was contaminated with E. coli, the department explained.

Three men — Daquan Johnson, Lytrell Scott, and Byron Jordan-Prince — were arrested Sunday, July 14 on multiple counts related to the thefts, authorities said in a release Friday, July 26. A fourth suspect is expected to turn himself in on Monday, July 29.

Smile, You're On Body Camera: TJ Maxx To Equip Employees To Fight Shoplifting
To fight the recent rise in shoplifting and retail theft, shoppers could see store security employees wearing body-worn cameras to help catch thieves red-handed.
TJX, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Serria, HomeSense, and HomeGoods, said will begin equipping some employees with body-worn cameras similar to those worn by police, the Boston Globe reported. The company started testing the initiative last year.
