Elizabethtown Man Dies In Mount Joy After Single-Vehicle Crash: Coroner A 77-year-old Elizabethtown man died following a single-vehicle crash in Mount Joy Township, the Lancaster County Coroner's Office announced on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Ronald Book was found deceased in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at 12:58 p.m. along Bellaire Road, according to the coroner's office. The car was discovered on a rocky area off the side of the road with minimal damage. A coroner investigator pronounced Book dead at the scene, the office said. Man, 50, Shot In Head, Killed In Philadelphia Street: Police A man in his 50s was shot in the head and killed on the 5000 block of Westminster Avenue early Monday, Dec. 9, Philadelphia police said. Officers were called to a report of a person with a gun at 4:22 a.m., authorities said. When they arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to the head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at 4:42 a.m., police said. No weapon was recovered, and no arrests have been made.
